If off-roading is more than just a recreational activity, and more a way of life, than you’re going to want the biggest, baddest, and toughest tires for your vehicle available on the market. Your truck might be tough, but your tires need to be tougher. Whether you’re rock crawling over small mountains of sharp granite, or splashing through the biggest mud puddles you can find, you’re going to want to equip your off road vehicle with one of these 7 most aggressive off road tires.

1.	Super Swamper TSL / SX Interco. Interco’s Super Swamper TSL / SX is an extreme off road monster built to tackle rocks with superior durability. This classic bias ply mud tire provides off roaders with exceptional traction in the mud, on rough trails, snow, and sand. Like most extreme off roader tires, these babies are best left to off road driving, as the road noise and street handling aren’t the best.

2.	Pitbull Rocker Extreme Offroad Tires. Appropriately named, these extreme off road tires have superior grip and can tackle even the toughest rocks. This bad boy can even hold its own in mud and snow. Featuring deep lugs, rim guards, sidewall protectors, and a resistance to cuts, tears, punctures, and anything the trail wants to throw at you. These extreme off road tires can even handle the road with surprisingly little road noise.

3.	Mickey Thompson Competition Claw MT Tire. Made specifically for rock crawling, this extreme tire can also handle exceptionally well in mud, sand, snow, and mountain trails. The Competition Claw features a flexible nylon construction that will bend and conform to rocky terrain like no other tire. The sidewalls provide superior resistance to cuts and punctures for advanced protection. Again, like most extreme off road tires, even though it’s D.O.T. approved, it’s better to leave the Claw to the wilderness.

4.	Maxxis Creepy Crawler Mud Terrain M-8090. The mother of all rock-climbing tires, there’s really no place the Maxxis Creepy Crawler can’t go. This tire features an aggressive tread pattern and shoulder lugs to maximize lateral traction. It also sports a wrap around tread that provides the Creepy Crawler with enhanced protection for the sidewall and extra support in deep muddy terrains. While this tire is street legal, excess road noise will probably keep this beast off the roads.

5.	Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar. One of the newest additions to the Goodyear extreme off road tires, the Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar is a vast improvement on the original Wrangler MT with sidewall durability 35 percent more resistant to tears and punctures. Kevlar is the material most commonly used in bulletproof vests. It’s known for being extremely lightweight and strong – five times strong than steel actually.

6.	BF Goodrich Krawler T/A KX. For those off roaders who still want a vehicle they can drive daily, the BF Krawler is a great choice. It offers exceptional performance in all terrains, even the highway, and features an aggressive tread, tough sidewalls, and superior grip. This tire excels at rock crawling and can hold its own on mountain trails. The Krawler does OK in mud and sand, but doesn’t perform as well as other tires made specifically for those types of terrain.

7.	Green Diamond Icelander. The Green Diamond Icelander is like no other extreme off road tire on the market. This tire applies technology made for the harsh conditions of Iceland, and as you can imagine, excels in ice, snow and mud. It’s also an exceptional rock climber, and can tackle even the toughest mountain terrains without a problem. It can even handle a paved road without excess noise. This extreme off road tire is truly a diamond in the rough and is the ultimate tire when it comes to versatility and traction.

No matter which of these extreme off road tires you choose for your off road vehicle, the answer to the question, “Where can these extreme off road tires take you?” is always the same. Anywhere you want to go.
